Space Cans !!!
 -----------------------------------------------------
The STORY: On July 12, 1985, astronauts tested the “Coca-Cola Space Can” aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger, making Coke the first soft drink to be consumed in space.
Six years later, on August 26, 1991, the Company and Soviet space agency NPO Energia successfully tested the Coca-Cola Space Can on board the Soviet space station Mir.

Coke spent approx. $250,000.00 to developed this can to be the "First Taste in Space".

Official Replica in "NEW!" COKE version.

Official Space Can in CLASSIC COKE version. (missing can: I need in my collection)

This is the first Space Coke can!!
Can comes on a clear Lucite display featuring an image of the Space Shuttle Challenger.
The top of the can is affixed to a plastic and metal nozzle that allows the soda to retain its carbonation. The side of the can has a strip of velcro to help it stay put while onboard the Shuttle in space.
The stand is 8"wide, 6 "deep, 9"tall.
Produced in a very limited quantity, and given to some lucky Coca-Cola bottling VIP and managers.
Only 6 up to ten have really flew in space. Same were made for testing, previous the space travel, and some are made as extra "just in case".
